Providence Academy offers events and activities to help students grow in Christ and Godly character, a necessary component of a classical education.
The Honorable Character program emphasizes positive reinforcement through recognizing the desirable choices that the student is already making, thereby fostering the development of habits which form strong character. It also focuses on learning about and demonstrating Christ-like character. Students in all grade levels have the opportunity to earn tickets for exhibiting exemplary character at school.
Each Monday morning, elementary students come together for a time of corporate worship and message from The Gospel Project.
Each Wednesday morning, the classroom teacher will lead the elementary students in a review of the Bible story of the week. The class will also focus on scripture memorization, songs through catechism, and keep a Bible journal.
This leadership program is specifically designed for middle and high school students. Students will have a time of bible and group discussion, while learning what it means to be a Christ-like leader. Christian Leadership is led by Coach O’Shields on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays.
