I am originally from Lubbock, TX. I came to know the Lord at a very young age and had the privilege of growing up on the mission field. I lived ten years in Costa Rica and Mexico City. I attended Texas Tech University and graduated with a B.A. in Spanish. My family and I relocated to Rockwall from Lubbock, TX. I have been married for 17 years and have four amazing kids. Teaching children is my passion! I have been teaching at Providence Academy since 2013. One of my favorite verses in the Bible is Isaiah 41:10. It says, “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” This verse has always been a comfort to me knowing that whatever I do or wherever I am, God is right there beside me sustaining and encouraging me!!...

I grew up in Southern California where I received my Associates of Arts from Mount San Antonio College and my Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Spanish at Cal State Fullerton, both with honors. My two daughters attend Providence Academy and this will be the seventh year that our family has benefited from University Model Schooling with PA. My love for teaching children began as a Sunday School Teacher when I was in Jr. High and continued as I grew into the position of Teacher and Director for our Children’s Church Ministry in So Cal. This will be my fourth year teaching with Providence Academy and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with such amazing staff, parents, and students....
Kindergarten Teacher
Kindergarten Teacher
I was raised in a suburb of Denver, Colorado. While I’m not a Texas native, I quickly fell in love with Texas (except for the never ending heat!). I attended private, Christian schools from Kindergarten through College. It was very clear to me from an early age that I was called to teach. It brings me so much joy to see others learn and I truly believe the gifts that God has given me lend itself toward teaching. I attended Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska in pursuit of a degree in elementary education and graduated in 2015. I met my husband in college and we have since had 2 daughters together. I never thought I would teach in the public school system, but God had bigger plans for me! My first seven years of teaching was in Rockwall ISD. God used this time to grow me in the boldness of my faith, teaching me to live out my faith in a way that would stand out when I couldn’t speak clearly about it. The Lord also used this time to shape me and convict me to live a life informed by HIS word rather than the world. As our family grew, it was very clear that God’s...

I grew up in East Texas where I developed a love for performing arts and tumbling. I am currently pursuing my Masters of Liberal Arts at Dallas Baptist University with a concentration in graphic design. I have a variety of passions and feel incredibly blessed to teach and share them with students at Providence Academy....

My husband Justin and I have been married 14 years. The Lord has blessed us with 3 beautiful daughters, two attend Providence Academy. I received a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Studies from Tarleton State University in 2002 and received my EC-4th ESL teaching certification from their TMATE program in 2004. As a child and teenager I was homeschooled with my 7 siblings and my husband was in public school. So when our oldest daughter was 3 we began to pray and seek how the Lord would have us to educate her. After two years of praying we discovered Providence, from a stranger, at a museum an hour away. After researching Providence and the University Model School, it became apparent that it was a perfect fit for our family. Now 3 years later both of our children are surrounded here by God’s Word and His people. They are getting a Biblically sound, academically exemplary education which integrates and encourages home and family. I feel that they are getting the best of both worlds. As a teacher I love engaging children in learning and really enjoy intertwining God’s word into every day and every subject area. Even as a...

God paved our way to Providence Academy in 2022 when our oldest son started Pre-K. I met and married my husband at the church we still attend today, Big Spring Baptist Church in Garland, Texas. I graduated from Tarleton State University with a Bachelors degree in Psychology. I worked as a property accountant for 12 years but have enjoyed staying home with my children for the past few years! While my Husband and I are products of public school, we knew we wanted to give our children a Christian education. The University Model is a bonus that allows our family to spend more time together and educate our children at a high level! I quickly realized that Providence would become a mission field that I wanted to serve in anyway possible. I am organized and persistent by nature. I value new relationships, strong communication and forming personal connections with people. It is my hope to joyfully assist our faculty, support other families and shepherd every student that attends Providence Academy for many years to come! Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. -Psalm 37:4...
